Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Percy Jackson is astounded when he finds out that his father is Poseidon, Greek god of the seas, lord of the horses, and stirrer of all earthquakes. His mother, who is a regular mortal, takes him to the special camp called Camp-Half Blood. This is a camp for demigods (people whose parents are gods) to train and survive. This camp has magical borders to keep the monsters of Greek mythology (the minotaur, furies, etc.) from attacking. As Percy and his friends battle monsters throughout the series, the evil titan Kronos tries to rise by manipulating mortals. Kronos has created a devastating plan to destroy Olympus, the home of the gods, and Percy plans to stop it all.
There are five book in this series, and there have been two movies* out of the five books, created.
Some other books by Rick Riordan are the Kane Chronicles series, the Heroes of Olympus series (a series that also includes Percy Jackson in it), the Trials of Apollo series, the Magnus Chase series, and the first book of the 39 Clues series.**
