Peter and the Starcatchers written by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson is a "prequel" series to the classic, Peter Pan. It's about how an orphan boy named Peter and his mates go aboard a dusty ship named the Never Land. While on the ship, Peter stumbles upon a chest while looking for food. It mesmerizes him and he is determined to find out what it is. Peter meets a girl named Molly Aster who wants to keep him away from the starstuff, but decides to tell him what it is, and its secret.
The villain, the infamous pirate Black Stache, knows that the most valuable treasure sent to sea is being held on the military ship theWasp, and desperately wants it. He chases the ship relentlessly, only to find it's not there!
Find out how Peter and Molly get shipwrecked on a 'deserted' island and fight to win the chest from all of its enemies and keep it safe.
